- Significant professional experience working on themes aligned with the Centre’s priorities, particularly artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, geopolitical economy, or the intersection of health, pandemics, demographics, and global transformation.
- Strong intellectual flexibility and openness to interdisciplinary work, with demonstrated curiosity about future-oriented scientific and technological developments.
- Proven ability to lead research initiatives, manage projects, and mentor junior researchers.
- Excellent writing, communication, and institutional representation skills.
- Must be professionally based within the European Union.
Role Scope — What They Will Do
- Lead research initiatives and contribute to shaping the Centre’s forward-looking intellectual agenda.
- Combine academic research with managerial responsibilities, including coordinating research activities, mentoring team members, supporting partnerships, and contributing to strategic planning.
- Represent the Centre in academic, institutional, and international discussions and collaborative initiatives.
- Ensure quality, coherence, and originality of research outputs while encouraging innovative thinking across teams.
Researcher (Mid-Level)
Required Skills and Profile
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s advantageous) in a relevant discipline, with demonstrated interdisciplinary openness.
- Professional experience engaging with topics connected to emerging technologies, geopolitical economy, future sciences, or health and demographic transformations.
- Strong analytical, writing, and conceptual thinking abilities combined with curiosity about evolving global trends.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-office research teams.
